WHAT IS GREED? AND WHY IS IT A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO LIFE & LIBERTY?
Greed is an intense, irrational, and inconsiderate desire for something, which may or may not be presently possessed (or otherwise true). If unmitigated, it may become an overwhelming and all-consuming obsession without any regard whatsoever to the destructive impact it may have on one's own self, others, and the world around it.
In other words, greed can ultimately cause one to be willing to deceive, lie, cheat, coerce, steal, and/or destroy to get (and keep) what they want.
The most threatening kind of greed includes the conscious desire to control, enslave, or even eliminate others; whether via physical, emotional, or mental manipulation. This kind of greed can cause a person to create and employ any means that may seem necessary - no matter how unthinkable to a healthy mind!
It is extremely important to point out that technology not only creates new ways to control, enslave, and eliminate others, it also acts as potentially infinite leverage for old ways. Technology is not inherently evil; but when evil is in control of it, it is effectively evil.
Greed has always been a significant problem; but with our current (let alone future!) technological capabilities, it has become an inestimable threat. The life threatening and sobering truth is that greed is presently in control of old, new, hidden, and emerging technology; not integrity, wisdom, and love. To make matters worse, the so-called "smart" people who are creating and evolving technology are not (yet) "smart enough" to stop what they are doing and consciously help to enlighten, liberate, unite, and empower humanity instead. (If this is you, please stop what you are doing and come join us instead! When integrity, wisdom, and love prevails we can again further empower and enrich ourselves with new technology; but, at the present time, this is an extremely dangerous and most unwise pursuit.)
Ultimately, the result of unmitigated greed is not only the devastating manipulation, enslavement, and selective reduction of our human family; it is also the devastating decimation of the very natural resources that make continued life (all Earth life) possible. It is the unnecessary torture and murder of both humanity and Earth!
HOW DO GREEDY PEOPLE GAIN AND MAINTAIN CONTROL?
Naturally, there are many different kinds and levels of greed. For our purposes, we are only concerned with the most powerful and most dangerous kinds and levels of greed; those that threaten our fundamental freedom, quality of life, and life itself.
The kind of greed that operates at this level uses many extremely well developed methods of physical, emotional, and mental manipulation in order to attempt to control, enslave, and eliminate others. Some are well known; others are well hidden.
The primary methods of general control are money-based; such as privatization of natural resources, monopolization, taxation, debt*, interest on debt*, insurances, etc.
The primary methods of specific control and disempowerment are brainwashing, hypnosis, hope/fear-based manipulation, and evolving techniques of "mind control".
The primary methods of general disempowerment are fear and anger saturated division (based on racial, national, political, religious, gender, sexual, generational, social, and economic issues.), demoralization, distraction, and confusion.
Naturally, there are many other methods of manipulation, enslavement, and elimination that are frequently employed. If you look for them, you will see them.
All this said, it is extremely important to understand and remember that dishonesty and deception are essential to the empowerment of greed. It is critical to your freedom, your quality of life, and life itself that you understand and never forget this.
*Especially public/government debt. And let's not forget about central bank controls!
